Technical partner for your website

Creating a website is like building a house. It includes different steps and phases, each requiring a different set of skills. It often starts with a vague idea, that matures over time in your head or during discussion in the project group.

I support you in all phases of the creation of your website: From the specification of the idea to the final website and its operation.

1. Concept

Based on your idea we create the concept of your new website. The concept contains et al.:

  • goal or purpose of the website: What do you want to accomplish with the website?
  • target group: Whom are you addressing with your website and its contents?
  • page structure: Which pages and contents should be displayed on the website?
  • details about available languages
  • special functions like e.g. contact form, blog or a product portfolio

The concept is the base for the next steps, because already the design should reflect the purpose and target group of your website.

2. Design

In this step, a graphic design of the website is created based on the concept. In the further process of the implementation, this will serve as a reference for programming the website.

As described earlier, many different skills are required to create a website. My area of expertise is the technical part. I like to leave the design to others who have their strength their. I am happy to help you find and choose a suitable partner.

3. Frontend development

After the design is completed, I convert it into HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Thereby I create a technical prototype of your website. This prototype contains all the elements available on the website as examples and can be opened in the browser.

This gives you a first impression of how the website will look on different devices, e.g. smartphone or tablet.

4. Backend development / Integration into the CMS

Most websites today use a content management system (CMS). This enables easy editing of the content without programming knowledge.

Based on the prototype, I configure the CMS and the required elements (content types). If necessary I develop individual solutions as an extension for the CMS if the desired features cannot be achieved by existing solutions.

5. Provisioning

After I have completed the development, I will provide you with the fully configured CMS on a test system. The test system is password-protected so that no unauthorized person (including Google) can see the website under construction.

Now it's your turn: Together with the login details, you will receive instructions on how to use the CMS. With this you can immediately start editing texts, images and other content.

6. Hosting

The website can now be made available to the public. For this I transfer the finished state from the test system to the live system.

The test system usually remains. Here you can e.g. try out content changes without affecting the publicly accessible website. I also use the test system to test technical changes or extensions and to make them available for approval.

For websites that I have implemented and / or do the technical maintenance, I offer hosting on my servers. Alternatively, I would be happy to help you choose a suitable hosting plan.
